Rolling Bones Spa Policies

Every client will be required to read and sign Rolling Bones Dog Spa’s Policy Agreement before any grooming services are provided. By signing, the client hereby entrusts their pet(s) to Rolling Bones Dog Spa (referred to as Rolling Bones hereafter) for grooming services.

Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, and cards. A fee of $25 will be charged for any returned checks, plus any additional bank fees. Further services will be paused until this fee is settled.

Appointment times are estimated arrival times within a 1-2 hour window. As a mobile service, our schedule may be affected by factors like refueling, traffic, and travel distance from prior appointments. If we anticipate being more than 15 minutes early or late, we’ll make every effort to notify you in advance.

If you need to cancel, please notify us at least 24 hours before your appointment. Failure to do so or if your pet isn’t available at the scheduled time will result in a $50 charge, due within 7 business days. Clients with multiple pets must notify us if any pet won’t be groomed; charges may apply. A $25 trip fee will be charged for missed appointments, due within 7 business days. We’ll confirm your appointment with a courtesy call the day before for new clients. If you are a first-time client and fail to be present when the groomer arrives for your scheduled appointment, Rolling Bones Spa will not schedule any future appointments.

We offer a “Key on File” service for your convenience. If you provide us with a key, garage code, or other access to your home, we can care for your pet during scheduled grooming appointments. Please leave an approved form of payment. Rolling Bones Spa is not liable for any damages or theft that may occur on your property during our visit.

Client consents that Rolling Bones may take pictures of your pet, before and after grooming, and utilize the same for their website, social media for all and/or advertising purposes at our discretion.

For the safety of our groomers and your pets, please inform us before grooming if your pet has a history of biting or aggressive behavior. Rolling Bones Spa cannot accommodate aggressive dogs. If misrepresentations about your pet’s behavior are discovered during booking, we will cease services, and you will still be responsible for the full grooming fee. Clients are liable for any bites or property damage caused by their pets.

We reserve the right to refuse service in cases where a pet poses a safety risk to our staff or themselves. Unfortunately, we cannot continue to serve clients with pets that exhibit overly aggressive or highly stressed behaviors.

Dealing with mats in your pet’s coat requires careful handling to avoid discomfort and potential skin issues. Excessive de-matting is a painstaking process that can cause pain and irritation. Neglecting your pet’s coat may lead to problems like skin irritation from grooming tools. If your pet is restless during grooming, there is a risk of accidental cuts or nicks from clippers or scissors.

At Rolling Bones Spa, we prioritize your pet’s safety and well-being. We assess each situation individually to determine if de-matting is safe. If not, we may recommend a “shave-down,” which significantly alters your pet’s appearance by cutting the coat very close to the skin. This procedure may expose pre-existing skin conditions. Clients should be aware that shaved coats increase the risk of sunburn and may require sunscreen application or protection from direct sunlight until the hair regrows sufficiently. Pets may experience temporary behavioral changes after shaving, and hair growth patterns can vary among breeds and coat types.

Removing heavily matted fur carries risks such as cuts or abrasions due to trapped moles, warts, or skin folds. Moisture trapped beneath mats can also lead to issues like mold, fungus, or bacterial growth, exacerbating existing skin conditions. Post-grooming effects may include itchiness, redness, or hair regrowth issues. Clients assume responsibility for their pet’s coat condition and understand that Rolling Bones Spa cannot be held accountable for any adverse effects resulting from mat removal.

At Rolling Bones Spa, we prioritize a clean and safe environment for all pets. It is crucial that clients maintain their pets’ flea and tick-free status. If fleas or ticks are discovered on your pet during grooming, we will use flea and tick shampoo to eliminate them and uphold salon hygiene standards.

In cases where an infestation is found, an additional $75 de-bug cleaning fee will be applied, alongside the regular grooming fee. Please note, these treatments may have side effects, including possible allergic reactions, which can occur despite following manufacturer-recommended usage. Clients understand that Rolling Bones Spa cannot guarantee complete effectiveness of these treatments, and we appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a pest-free environment for all pets in our care.

During grooming, hidden medical problems may be uncovered or existing ones aggravated, potentially requiring immediate veterinary attention. In such cases, for the well-being of your pet, clients authorize Rolling Bones Spa to act as their agent. If we are unable to reach you, Rolling Bones Spa reserves the right to engage a veterinarian at your expense to ensure prompt medical care for your pet’s health and safety.

Proof of current rabies vaccination is required before grooming services can be provided. Please provide this information upon request, along with current veterinary details.

Grooming can be stressful, particularly for senior pets or those with health concerns. These pets will be groomed with a focus on their comfort and cleanliness, using styles that minimize stress. Due to their increased vulnerability, Rolling Bones Spa cannot be held responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur during grooming sessions for elderly or health-compromised pets.
